My journey with cannabis began at the age of 14, sneaking outdoor plants into hidden corners and hoping my mom wouldn’t find them. Soon after, I got my hands on the old-school High Times magazine Phototron and ran my very first indoor grow. Not long after that, I was recording my grow experiments in a bedroom under an HPS light—capturing it all on VHS with the help of a neighbor who was a wedding videographer. He edited the tapes, even adding tracks like Black Magic Woman by Santana. This was long before the internet or Instagram. Little did I know, those moments would ignite a lifetime purpose and passion.

By the time I turned 18, I hit the road to Canada after reading in High Times magazine about coffee shops where you could get real Amsterdam seed catalogues. That trip transformed me from a backyard grower into an international strain hunter. Up until then, everything I grew came from bag seeds—but now I had access to true genetics. Some of my earliest real clones were Northern Lights, alongside authentic imported Chocolate Thai seeds. That’s when the real magic began.

Fast forward 37 years, and I’ve had the honor of smoking, growing, and preserving some of the world’s best cannabis. When Instagram hit the scene, it changed everything again. Suddenly, I could connect with growers across the globe—trading knowledge, building trust, and gaining access to rare collections that had been safeguarded for decades.

Through OldSchoolChronic, people began reaching out to me, donating rare seeds and mother clones that had been protected in private collections. They trusted me to preserve them, share them, and make sure the magic of true medicine wasn’t lost to time. That’s when the mission became bigger than me—it became about protecting and passing on a living history.
